The Bavero porcelain collection is another superb specimen of Castiglioni’s work. You can clearly see what Castiglioni himself describes as ?”the principal element of designing”, i.e. the central idea of the design, which is what a good designer should search for and understand at the beginning of each project: in this case the central idea is as simple as it is original and courageous: folding the edges of the plates downwards.
